SO, what does all this mean? NPC’s Children’s Ministry
is growing and we are in desperate need of more adult
involvement. I often wonder how much more exciting we
can make it if everyone who has an interest in investing in our
church’s future would volunteer time and energy to work with
our children. You are needed. God has given you gifts and
time to share. I look forward to what we can do together
for these children for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Pray
for our children. Pray for Children’s Ministry and join us. Ever
wonder what might happen if you did?
For the Love of Wonder,
Mickie O’Donnell

Noroton Presbyterian Nursery School
W
e are so excited to see the return
of spring. The classrooms are
cultivating seeds and watching their
caterpillars prepare for their change into
butterflies. The Daffodils around the
music garden are blooming and several
classrooms have held outdoor classes.
We have had lots of visitors to the Nursery
School. Animal Embassy visited the 3’s classes
and Carly, the dental hygienist from Dr. Wolfman’s
office, visited all the classes. Carly demonstrated proper brushing
and taught the children about keeping a healthy mouth. Several
4’s classes went on a field trip to the Maritime Aquarium; while
others attended “The Rainbow Fish” at the Ridgefield Playhouse.
We held our annual Book Fair in April and the 4’s and Pre-K held
an Arts Show for their families. Proceeds from the book fair go to
support the continued growth and improvements to our school
library; which we also share with Tot Drop.
We hope you all are enjoying the start of spring.

The Newtown Initiative Update
After the Newtown tragedy NPNS along
with the Children’s Ministry of NPC reached
out to specifically purchase and donate a new
social emotional tool used at NPNS called
“Kimochis.” NPNS is proud to have been
one of the earliest adopters of Kimochis. We
were thrilled to report that we received a
generous gift of $8,000 from a Foundation
who reached out to NPC’s Children’s Ministry
to help make this curriculum material available.
Individuals also donated and many of the
Kimochis kits have been distributed in
Newtown. Donations are still able to be
made through
