Big Ideas that Shape theYouth Culture:
A Short Tour of Big Ideas that ShapeYouth Culture.
We hear about Lady Gaga and “sexting” and raves and
Facebook. But, what does it all mean? And what kind
of ideas drive the culture in which our teenagers live,
breathe and consume? If youth culture is like a river, with
it’s big waves and deep troughs, this seminar will help
you to better understand it’s contours and currents, and
how those contours and currents impact the way your
teenage son or daughter sees the world.
You’ll leave this seminar with a better understanding of:
* paganism, pluralism and postmodernism, and
how these three strains of thought impact your
teenager’s world-view;
* some of the practical implications for raising
teenagers in a “multiple choice” moral climate;
* the difference between “looking at” and “looking
along”, and how each approach impacts the way
teenagers experience God.
Understanding the Teenage Mind:
Getting Inside Their Heads: Understanding the Teenage
Mind.
“Is life so different from when I was 13?” What makes
the teenage years so tough? This seminar will give you
some insight into why your teenager acts the way they
do...or the way they don’t.
