The Anniversary/Birthday celebra-
tion served food using recipes from
historic NPC Women’s Guild cook-
books, or that has its origin in New
England. A large group of volun-
teers prepared the foods/beverages
and walked through the crowds to
serve and engage in conversation.
There was of course the requisite birthday
cake, and balloons for the children!
Our eldest member, Maude Pettus,
assisted in blowing out the candles once
‘Happy Birthday’ was sung.
See for yourself the wonderful time of
fellowship this morning was …

This month, the Session expressed their appreciation
to the 150th Anniversary Committee by expressing
the following in their minutes. Well done one and all!
“The Session of the Noroton Presbyterian Church would
like to express our deep appreciation to Rosemary
Mace and all the members of the 150th Anniversary
Committee –Bob Bromfield, Nancy Cammann, Nancy
Dauk, Diane Gilliam, Chari LeMasters, John McLean, Dot
Norris, Eleanor Palmer, Robin Salmans, Bill Tamme, Sally
Vosburgh and Pastor Sam Schreiner, for their outstanding
work researching, preserving and celebrating our history
of service to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was a
rich and rewarding experience for the whole congregation
learning about the faithfulness and sacrifices of our
founders, Pastors and members.”
On Sunday, we held only two morning services (at 9
and 11 a.m.) to allow for a total church congregation
fellowship time in Horton Hall.
Our guest pastors joined our current pastoral staff in
serving communion to members/friends. We also
welcomed 2 dozen new members.
