R
eading quality books to
children is one of the
most valuable ways to
help them. Darien Public
Library’s Children’s Librarian,
Clare, spent a very happy
hour at Tot Drop recently
sharing delightful new books,
active songs and finger plays and
encouraging our Walking Ones,
Twos, Threes and Fours to visit the library. The
pictures to the left share some of the children’s
enthusiasm and joy with you! One additional picture
is too cute not to share: our very own leprechaun,
Jake, from the Twos class ready to celebrate St.
Patrick’s Day.

M
arch was a busy and
chilly month at NPNS.
We were grateful for some
sunny days and enjoyed
lots of exciting activities.
We celebrated Favorite Hat
Day , held Parent-Teacher
conferences, enjoyed stories
from award winning storyteller,
Jonathan Kruk, had our class pictures
taken and our Pre-K class went maple sugaring.
We held our annual Pancake Breakfast and besides
wonderful food, good company, and face painting,
we had the pleasure of Amazing Andy and the
Pender-Keady Irish Dancers.
Our annual Spring Book Fair will take place
on April 24th and 25th. Please check out our
announcement on the back page of this Spire.
We are looking forward to many more adventures
in April and are eagerly watching for signs of spring.
